Southern California isn't one market — it's dozens of micro-markets stacked on top of each other, from Chula Vista to Riverside County. What's true for a 3-bedroom in Eastlake this month might not hold for a starter home in Moreno Valley or a condo in North Park. I built this site, and the blog on it, because I got tired of watching buyers and sellers make decisions based on national headlines that had nothing to do with their actual street.

My background is in working directly with families and first-time buyers across Chula Vista, National City, and the South Bay, and increasingly with buyers looking further out into Riverside County for better value, along with sellers who've owned their homes for a decade or more and need a clear-eyed read on today's value. I don't sugarcoat a slow market and I don't oversell a hot one — I tell you what I'd tell my own family.
